Indiana Bamboo and Indiana Bamboo and the Not-Missing Mummy work well for students ages eight to twelve, and are good read aloud novels for second graders.

28 Days of Neon is best for students ages ten and up, especially fifth through eighth graders.

Workshops, Bookstore Visits, Libraries, and Book Groups

I also love visiting libraries, bookstores, and book groups, and doing writing workshops for all ages.

Indiana Bamboo and Indiana Bamboo and the Not-Missing Mummy are fun for all ages, and work well for parent or caregiver/child book groups, as well as for adults who enjoy middle grade literature. I have had many wonderful visits with Senior Centers and other organizations!

28 Days of Neon is also a good fit for parent or caregiver/tween book groups. It has many funny moments, but it also has serious themes that resonate with adults as well as young people. The novel provides a natural and meaningful way to discuss the issues raised in the story.
